Personal Statement from the Founder of Spiral Earth:
Living in the city with all the stresses it brings, I seek to immerse myself in the beauty of nature.
Clay is the medium for my work. Through the use of modeling and design I discover how to bring happiness to my soul and that of others.
This is what I try to capture and express in my work: to heal myself and others by beautifying the world through creative energy.
I hope to bring this creative spirit into the lives of all people.

Curriculum Vitae of the Artist
- January 1997- April 1998
- Worked in ceramic production of various ceramic wares, supplying shops and working markets in conjunction with a local studio in Ancoats, Manchester
- May 1998 – March 1999
- Worked on ceramic jewellery at a studio in Andretta in North India.
- March 1999 – January 2001
- Studied ceramics in Japan at the Noritake Studio with their headmaster Mr. Jimmy Kojima. I produced various work including- interior fountains, jewellery, crystal lamps. These works were supplied to restaurants and shops in Nagoya, Tokyo, and Hakuba.
- February 2000
- Exhibited my work at the Foreign Artists Exhibition in Nagoya.
- June 2000 - January 2001
- Exhibited my work at the Noritake China Gallery in Nagoya.
- February 2001 – March 2002
- Lived in Taiwan and supplied shops there with my ceramic jewellery.
- March 2002 – June 2003
- Lived in New Zealand and Australia, continuing with work on my ceramic jewellery and supplied galleries and shops.
- August 2002
- Organised my first group workshop in Byron Bay, Australia. Participants produced jewellery and musical instruments from clay and bamboo.
- June 2003 – April 2004
- Returned to Japan to continue the study of ceramics at the Noritake Studio, and also conducted several exhibitions at their gallery.
- June 2004 – December 2004
- Conducted workshops and sold products through various shops and galleries on the island of Hawaii.
- January 2005- Present
- Developing garden installations and other types of ceramic products for the English market.
- April 15, 2008
- Ceramics workshop for 40 community members ranged in ages from 3-60. The workshops involved creating wind chimes and mobiles which were installed in the park. My role was to facilitate the day, and to finish of the project of by firing and glazing and assembling the chimes.
- June 2008 – Present
- Ceramics Instructor with BlueSCI, an Arts and Cultural Well Being centre in Old Trafford Manchester which supports people with mental health issues.
